Realigning America

Strong leadership is a critical element with respect to preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution of the United States of America. This commensurate responsibility has requirements. The most critical of which is through commonsense to understand the human being, understand relationships, and understand that the measure of allegiance for such a fine Constitution is the very example we display with each new day.

The most beautiful opportunity on Earth is here in America—the melting pot—whereupon the nobility of every person can be genuinely respected. Such respect extends to humans abroad whose resemblance is represented through the race, gender, age, and creed of citizens here. This land of opportunity is the very best place from which conviction invites unity. A team effort supports the bond that facilitates the pursuit of happiness as far as our example can reach to convey the precise measure of our belief that “everyone is created equal”.

Leadership is obvious when the weak, poor, and unhealthy are improving because the leader believes-in and encourages the citizens to responsibility, dependability, and accountability within a brilliant Constitution that promotes discipline, unity, wisdom, and compassion. Citizens herein can become strong only if our Constitution is honored; and citizens herein will become weak if our Constitution is not honored.  (Click on title to read more.)

Candidates for President should understand the strength of our country comes from honoring such a fine Constitution. The citizens’ majority elects our representatives; so our representatives represent our conviction toward the Constitution.  Everyone who studies the US from the outside can quickly read our Constitution and measure the strength of our conviction through our representatives.

Obviously, elections are widely viewed via television; and the purpose of elections is partly to elect representatives. The finest display of our example is by the candidates we nominate to represent us. Whether or not we uphold the Constitution is evident by the representatives we elect. Fellow human beings everywhere on Earth can learn so very much about the beauty of our Constitution and about our unity—and we can too!

“A team is as strong as its weakest link.” One who agrees with that statement is one who will likely agree with the following statement: Leadership is obvious when one understands the benefits of strengthening the weakest link.

If the most qualified presidential candidates are the finest two leaders within a country, it will quickly become apparent between the two candidates, given the chance to “show their stuff”. Obviously, each candidate recognizes the other as the weakest link. Therefore, leadership should be the most profound quality to an audience witnessing the two candidates solving a problem! Between the two candidates, the one who can lead the other is the stronger leader. Of course, leadership-skill is only one element, but it’s quite important because knowledge, wisdom, understanding, humility, and conviction become obvious within the most capable leader.

If the leader believes in his fellow human beings, those who witness such conviction will enhance belief in their fellow human beings. The leader subsequently will not have to micromanage, because human beings will begin to recognize immediately the vast potential in each fellow human being if inspired regardless how weak, poor, or unhealthy. Leadership permeates through the leadership-quality of the citizens and is easiest to recognize when the weak, poor, and unhealthy are inspired by apparent leadership in the President rather than “moved” by a brilliant performance by someone who would do well as an actor.

The strength of one’s leadership is best determined by one’s awareness and strength while at rock bottom. Such experience enhances one’s education and the wherewithal with which to relate with the weakest link. Politicians can relate if they have experienced rock bottom. Whether they grew strong or weak will be determined by their belief or pity in us—the citizens.

For example:  Suppose you find yourself fired and unemployed with no money after exhausting all your accounts. You find temporary relief with food stamps. You find difficulty in being on the receiving-end of the condescending remarks from the employee on the other side of the welfare counter.

You find yourself at rock bottom—as in the example given in the “The Strong and the Brave!”, wherein one person acquires the courage despite the countless excuses given by those advising against the pursuit of his idea and took his idea all the way to fruition while the other did not.

Let’s hypothetically introduce these two as presidential candidates. At your rock bottom, let’s say that your sense of patriotism brings you to an audience where these two well-dressed candidates are arguing for your vote. You ask them to address your situation with advice as you have begun to embark on an idea—a household gadget, perhaps, that will serve to solve a common problem.

One looks at you and simply says: “Go for it! You’ll learn a lot. I believe in you! Don’t quit! After each courageous day, reflect on pros and cons, mistakes, and learning curves”, and might offer experienced suggestions. The other candidate offers to “help you” by referring you to this program or to that program funded by the Treasury. Obviously, the latter sounds much more appealing and helpful so as to “take care of you”, whereas the former doesn’t seem to care.

What explains the irony in the two approaches? Why does the former help you and the latter pacify you? Well, it’s easy! One believes in you, and the other does not or simply doesn’t have leadership skill. (No disrespect intended here; everyone is precious and has unique qualities!)

Upon similar predicaments, either the candidate did or did not believe in himself or never quite reached rock bottom and therefore cannot relate. It is that simple! (Of course, as in everything, there are “exceptions to the rule”; but if a candidate prepares a platform for the exceptions to the rule, the “leadership” will strengthen only the country’s demise!)

In every human being’s life, struggle is common. During difficult times, what we do and whether we believe in ourselves is of great importance. This builds a foundation of strength or weakness with respect to resolve; some have a combination thereof, which is usually the culprit for the confusion. This foundation is a key element as to what kind of leaders we seek and subsequently perhaps aspire to become. (By the way, every human being obviously has strengths and weaknesses, but knowing the difference is the point from which improvement is possible.)

I have known many human beings who have “lost everything” and had to “start all over”. This is a very difficult challenge for many human beings. In retrospect however, a rock-bottom situation can prove to be a pivotal moment from which one can learn and grow or be defeated and develop a sense of dependence. It all depends on “what you’re made of” as to whether one’s strength is regressing, stagnant, or improving.

From a rock-bottom situation in life, a strong person believes in himself. He may have fallen to the point where food stamps were necessary, but refuses to give-up. He humbly builds on his confidence, courage, and perseverance to become someone who is dependable and responsible with incentive and purpose rather than developing strong dependent characteristics.

Should the same two human beings eventually have political aspirations, they will tend to become different types of leaders (toward courage or pity).

Having believed in himself while in a similar predicament, the strong political candidate will believe in you when you are at your rock-bottom point. He will understand that you are at the strongest position possible because that is where your resolve or creative mind is stimulated by your potential during hardship or rock bottom.

On the other hand, not having believed in himself, the weak political candidate cannot believe in you when you are at your rock-bottom point. He will misconstrue your situation as if it were the weakest position possible.

The strong candidate will recognize your rock-bottom point in life and encourage your strength, because he vividly recalls and celebrates his own rock-bottom point as a remarkable pivotal moment. The weak candidate, however, will feel sorry for you.

The strong candidate will propose tax incentives for entrepreneurs and private-sector employers for having provided jobs, which will serve as an encouraging incentive to continue improving the team’s economy. (Of course, in today’s mentality of greed, that would only suggest more money to invest on self.) The weak candidate will propose government programs, which will serve to pacify the citizens and hinder their resolve as well as the economy, obviously. This ultimately penalizes whom? Who pays or finances the programs? Yes, those whose effort the strong candidate believes in: the entrepreneurs and the private-sector employers! Our tendency is to “think” like our party. In the current mere management of the economy, the wise guy would take his money and run to Wall Street!

Of course all this tax stuff becomes confused in the divisive tug-of-war between the political parties, whereas commonsense could otherwise solve the dilemma amid an effective meeting among maturing adults in the United States’ Capital. Obviously however, one party tends to pacify the poor while the other party tends to pacify the “rich”.  The greatest danger is the tendency to pacify the poor AND the rich, because then only a matter of time will transition our Republic from "Independence Day" to "Dependence Day".  If you pacify, you implicitly convey that the citizen cannot “fend for himself”.

In a democracy (or any type of government), promoting dependence leads to governments of socialism and eventually communism. Promoting a strong work ethic, however, leads to incentive and freedom by encouraging citizens toward purpose, responsibility, dependability, and accountability.

Communism eventually is governed by a dictatorship. Do we recognize America is transitioning toward socialism before our very eyes? Did the Declaration of Independence’ and the Constitution’ authors suggest for America to eventually become socialistic and thereafter communistic? 

History indicates this has always eventually been the result. Our Founding Fathers knew this but didn’t get discouraged and quit, because they counted-on you and me to responsibly grow and improve by their courageous example. They had the foresight to not only believe in their immediate fellow human being but also in future generations such as those of us whose citizenship must be strengthened by adhering to a very well written Constitution! I’m not suggesting they were perfect. In fact, the ridiculous racial discrimination proved that those involved in such “supremacy” only minimized their lucidity. However, although they may not have always “practiced what they preached”, let’s focus on the positives from the Constitution. If you and I are wise, we can learn from their example—whether positive or negative! To prove our lucidity, we must strengthen the pillars rather than weaken them.

Communism is only great in theory. In practice however, it inevitably discourages competition, courage, perseverance, and thinking on dreams in pursuit. “Womb to tomb utopian benevolence” is comforting to the discouraged citizens in the midst of an ethical, compassionate, selfless, and fair manager; but study further than shortsighted good ideas—study consequence. What happens when the dictator is not ethical, compassionate, selfless, and fair? Granted, it does not happen right away, but although “commune” is a peaceful word, totalitarianism is inexorably the antithesis of solidarity. Socialism is beautiful only in oblivious dreams of utopia, but in the reminiscent reality of history, it only gives rise to dependence until all courage is ever so gradually permeated by the fear and anger of the inevitable climax of communism. When the government feeds you, you will do whatever you are told whether the demands are kind or cruel! The metamorphosis from freedom to force is so unnoticeably gradual. Do you recognize the proverbial frog? (If a frog is dropped in scorching hot water, it will jump out. If it is dropped in cool water that is gradually warming to a scorching temperature, in its demise the oblivious frog will comfortably boil.)

There is still a chance to realign! However, we as united American citizens—each of us—must honestly check our direction and perspective. It is difficult to objectively check our viewpoints—which are very “grounded”—because it takes some courageous honesty and humility. It will be painfully difficult otherwise for our descendents to reflect upon "what might have been", had those who had provided "assistance" from the Treasury’s fund grasped such crucial concepts. 

You know how some wealthy parents setup a Trust Fund for their kids? One might compare the Trust Fund to the “Treasury Fund”. Well, we (the citizens) are the “rich kids” and we’re using-it-up faster than the rate that we’re building-it-up! Furthermore, taxes and inflation are discouraging the entrepreneurs from pursuing their ideas; and so what do they do instead? They either go to Vegas, Atlantic City, or Wall Street! What will be the consequence when that which seems like generosity replaces the entrepreneurial opportunity entirely and America goes belly-up?

We must decide NOW whether realigning America for the sake of our grandchildren’s children is worth our time and team effort—that is, only if we actually care about them and future Americans. If we “pass the buck” to the next generation, well, how sad!

I love kids and I love the freedom for which America stands and the courage that makes us “♪…stand up next to her and defend her still today…♪”. We must unite and recognize that we must realign our focus if we are committed to sustain and defend this freedom for the sake of future generations.

Should an average citizen like me, who comes from a poor economic background, believe in the noble meaning of the American Dream?  Is America’s system of democracy and freedom worth objectively assessing and sustaining? Should future Americans have the same opportunity you and I have been so fortunate to inherit?  Should our gratitude be proven by stepping-up to responsibility for the democracy and freedom that launched citizens' incentive, purpose, responsibility, and dependability for "The Strong and the Brave" on Independence Day? Shall we "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution" so that future generations get that same opportunity toward their courageous American Dream?

When elected representatives believe in the citizens, they protect the opportunity for us to think, grow, improve, and pursue dreams here in America, hence the American Dream. Aside from obviously helping the economy and increasing a sense of incentive, purpose, responsibility, and dependability, it also starts, develops, and builds an economy.

People who believe in themselves will believe in those they govern and will be saddened by the "assistance" of "the handout".  There are many intelligent arguments against this statement but the intelligence is only going so deep. The depth of the intelligence by which the pace of understanding is recognized determines the level of interest. It is wise to supplement not replace intelligence with compassion. (One might do well to avoid arguments with someone who lacks sufficient interest or wherewithal to simultaneously exercise the two.)

Strong government encourages incentive, purpose, courage, and dependability (of which rock bottom can motivate responsible thinking). Weak government discourages incentive, purpose, responsibility, and dependability; and subsequently, that which seems like generosity in fact encourages dependence. Strong government seeks to improve the economy by the encouragement of creating jobs from the Private Sector because of a belief in the citizens. Weak government seeks to stimulate the economy by creating jobs from added government programs because of feeling sorry for the citizens.

Strong government encourages citizens to pursue dreams by believing in the citizens, and develops a strong example for the rest of the world toward freedom.  Within a weak government, citizens tend to place responsibility on elected officials to “take care of us”, which develops a weak example for the rest of the world toward freedom.

Within a strong and authentic American democracy, a presidential address includes leadership within words of wisdom and compassion wisely delivered only upon supplementing the roles of the passions, the will, and the intellect harmoniously. This is kind of like a parent who lovingly but responsibly disciplines a child. This kind of leadership encourages, sustains, and strengthens freedom (doing what we ought to do).

Honor, discipline, respect, obedience, and responsibility are qualities among the family that wisely are valued by a strong government. This is true because such qualities are the building blocks that form the government’s foundation—of the people, for the people, by the people—that should continue to be represented by such principles generation to generation.  The strength of such a democracy begins with the courage of the citizens’ first teachers—mom and dad!

With respect and without arrogance, we must convey to other countries’ citizens that human beings strengthen through freedom; but first we must review the principles that made pursuing dreams possible for Americans like you and me for two-hundred-plus years (1776 – 2003—or when was it still possible?)

Strong characteristics within freedom encourage incentive, purpose, responsibility, and dependability. Weak characteristics within freedom, however, encourage dependence on government with rights. Strong characteristics without freedom produce violence and terrorism against government. Weak characteristics without freedom, however, produce subservience to government without rights.

The Constitution of the United States of America is the most brilliant national foundation these two American eyes have ever seen!  America is a great homeland! If we are satisfied with this fact however, we paralyze ourselves for its improvement. It is irresponsible to find comfort in mediocrity by the satisfaction that others are worse. Such a passive attitude will not extend to future Americans the freedom our Founding Fathers bequeathed to us. One would be hard-pressed to deny the pillar of strength stemming from the authentic Constitution of the United States of America, but there is most certainly a commensurate responsibility.

We must not only protect and defend but also preserve America—not with “artificial preservatives” but with “real fruit”! Freedom is obviously not free; many honorable soldiers have died for the freedom we must always defend. The cost, however, does not only limit the responsibility to defend. To protect, we must preserve, and to preserve, realigning America is precisely what we must do!

A president can only help with realigning America if we (the people) are willing to focus on teamwork and commonsense while encouraging one another. From the bald eagle’s view, American voters continue electing candidates based on mere opinion on the same old tired issues. Therefore, someone with a clear focus is misunderstood and thus equally ineffective.

Inspired citizens maximize the potential of a current-day president. It is our turn as young, healthy, intuitive Americans to step-up with solutions to our home’s problems. Let’s embrace our obstacles; they belong to US—the American citizens—regardless whether we label ourselves republican or democrat. Each and every one of us has something brilliant to contribute as a team. I don’t know everything nor do you, but collectively we can certainly be wiser.

America is a great home of opportunity for inspired citizens to work freely with purpose on ideas for which our workweek is embarked upon with enthusiasm amid mutual respect for each human person. We must recall that democracy is intended to be a government “of the people, for the people, by the people”.

Realigning America requires a clear focus or a “reality check”, which can only be possible by enhancing the level of interest among “we the people” and by increasing the level of our responsibility and the number of informed and maturing voters.

Satisfaction leads to comfort. Comfort leads to stagnation. Stagnation leads to indifference. Indifference leads to irresponsibility. Irresponsibility minimizes the voters’ potential toward improvement, which leads to a decreasing knowledge regarding our Constitution’s authenticity.

We (each one of us) have an opportunity to responsibly improve our focus. The political guidance we have received may require an update. Although we may have adopted political opinions originating from human beings we respect and admire in other subjects of interest, we may likely find it useful to review the lucidity of what we adopted once upon a time while we were much more interested in other things before the “hangover”—remember?

During presidential debates, prior to the Primary Election, when listening to the “other party”, we will wisely open our heart with respect to credibility they might have. We must not listen only to build our defense but instead listen so as to improve our collaboration. We must practice the skill of listening! We ask for candidates’ opinion on the issues, which have been “discussed” for far too long without much listening. By listening, we clearly recognize the debated “issues” are in fact the consequences—not the culprits.

Where’s the Party?

Conversation or talking with people especially at parties is merely small talk for the sake of mingling and socializing. Typically, people say lots of one-liners in common etiquette among sophisticated company. When you leave, you remember a gorgeous man, the decor of the fabulous mansion, or the exquisite hors d’oeuvres. But usually, nothing is remembered of much depth, because conversation is just a tool that carries you from one side of the mansion to the other…from the foyer to the great room to the bar to the dining table to the kitchen to the pool. The ambiance is fabulous, and you talk to maybe fifty well-dressed fellow guests; but dawling, they aint sayin’ nuthin’.

That’s what the conversations in political debates sound like. People are saying the same thing in a televised “debate”. However, the words they are saying are a reworded series of sentences and paragraphs that have been said for the past few decades. It’s as though opinions are so well memorized that they are “on auto pilot” within eloquent statements. It’s as though they’ve pressed the play button on their stereo system, and the speakers have impeccably clear sound, but the brain isn’t keeping-up. Oh it’s hearing everything but listening only for a pause upon which to speak. There’s lots of information in the mind, but it’s as though the mind hasn’t studied what the mouth has been saying for decades. We talk too much and don’t listen and think enough. I know, because I remember doing the same only to appear educated, smart, and accepted. Oh, but what an amazing concept is that of listening, thinking, learning, and understanding the obvious dignity, brilliance, and potential in EVERY human being!

The Hidden Brilliance Locked within each Unorganized Mind

An organized mind has many advantages in mental health toward mutual respect among all human beings. By objectively listening and reflectively thinking, we will improve our ability to organize our minds; and assessment on that which we read or hear will become increasingly clear. Consequently, we will be capable of discerning the level of our improving discussions whether at home, at parties, or those to which we tune-in via electronics. Until we organize our minds, everything we hear or say will remain just that—hearsay.

“I love America!” means I love Americans—a brilliant human bouquet of many sizes, shapes, and beautiful colors—regardless whether the label reads republican or democrat. If we truly love Americans, surely we can work together in unity. First, however, we must admit our shortcomings. I don’t know everything is a good start; and although difficult to admit, that which I think I know may be wrong! With objectivity and confidence, let’s open our minds and wisely enhance our compassion. Rather than continuing to “think” like our party, we must—through open minds—explore basic elements in “democracy and freedom 101”. This may very well shift our perspective and remind us of the brilliance by which this gorgeous country’s principles have been the inspired basis for sovereignty herein since 1776. Let’s study our discussions and do our homework for the subsequent discussion. We have been in a rut for such a long time. Let’s improve our discussions!

Please don’t misrepresent yourself! You’re awesome! Know yourself, so that when you speak, we get-to-know the real you! Please don’t misrepresent yourself. You’re brilliant, you’re precious, and you have lots to share with the world, but don’t start sharing before you know what you have! Go to the mirror and see what a marvel God has designed, created, and sculpted in the precious dignity within you! You are amazing to the degree that your humility allows you to recognize the dignity within every human person.

I challenge you to periodically have a conversation with someone differing in political affiliation. Try to do less talking and more listening, thinking, and reflecting! I know it’s not easy! I too have to practice this! Rather than engaging in a conversation fueled with resistance, let’s open our minds, listen, and analyze, before, during, and after we collaborate rather than this elementary “debate” stuff. We’ll find that if sides are willing to be objective from increasingly organized minds, opinions will minimize and wisely be replaced with improvement due to intellectual learning, humility, unity, and lucidity.

Objectivity may introduce the fact that most Americans are more similar than different. As we learn to improve our knowledge-base regarding this beautiful American home, we might learn the elements that most divide us are the labels republican and democrat—words which seem to replace thinking and have become as divisive to this country as artificial diplomacy has become to this planet.

Since we are strong and brave, let’s walk from the shallow end to the deep end. Have you ever been swimming and thought you were on the deep end when you suddenly hit the bottom with your hand? That’s precisely how it will seem when you start to recognize the rewards of real thinking, listening, learning, and understanding. At least that’s been the case for me. I thought I knew so much until I started studying what I had already compiled regarding data, information, and intelligence as unorganized facts. I soon realized how much I was learning while studying all I had acquired and compiled—of which I had yet to understand. Writing this book has allowed me to organize my mind which was congested with unorganized thinking.

You will soon realize the brilliance you will find in the data, information, and intelligence you have in your mind; you just got to organize it. Once you do so, you will begin learning with ability much more advanced; and assessment, improvement, confirmation, and/or realignment will become possible and eventually much easier.

Organizing our minds is the finest approach toward meaningful debate. When the next generation is inevitably engaged in their political debates, will they be just as “successful” as generations before them, or will we even give them the chance to try?

The ramification of division is terrifying. Terrorism is less frightening than our divisiveness, and we speak the same language so there’s no excuse for our confusion! Are we too unhealthy by our addiction to “the news” to recognize this dilemma? I really don’t think so. There must be something else. What is it? Do we care? Or, are we paralyzed by the four-letter word F-E-A-R?

Come on my beloved Americans let’s end the nonsense. I’m sure you love life in America just as I do. It is our beautiful home within time and space. Let’s selflessly preserve it and improve it! For our sake and for the sake of future generations, let’s unite and be productive rather than incarcerating ourselves after setting the alarm system so as to comfortably enjoy our daily fix of fright from “the news” as though similarly “dying for a cigarette”.

Committed to improve, America will increasingly unite. United, we will be poised to collaborate and learn from one another, which will only improve our country as well as increase respect and credibility from other countries. We will at the very least have an improved example. How can we promote democracy to other countries if ours is a constant war between parties that only promotes the stagnation of gridlock? I believe in you way too much! I love you way too much! I want to see you improve way too much to ignore the obvious weakness of gridlock that continues to discourage the freedom, unity, and camaraderie toward which we could otherwise so easily graduate.

Realigning America falls in the capable hands of the citizens and of the President. All American citizens are responsible for the status of America. This responsibility includes both voters and non-voters, who are citizens within the government and the Private Sector, including the President.

Presidents are citizens too. Their level of knowledge partly determines their own capacity as responsible citizens. Citizens are responsible for our country’s direction regardless of the level of knowledge. Contrary to popular belief, the President is equally responsible as each citizen (aside of course from the fact that he’s under oath).  Unfortunately, countless citizens believe the President owns full responsibility. Therefore, some citizens frequently place credit or blame on the President rather than help to encourage our fellow citizen!

The President is another citizen among us who has the courage to step-up. Don’t insult him; support him instead. Subsequently, should you step-up, your fellow citizens will hopefully support you.  By increasing the level of objective interest, each voter’s potential will strengthen, which will also strengthen the President’s potential. This ultimately will enhance the voter’s assessment regarding the caliber of the President’s leadership. United Americans’ collective support will enhance the ability of the President while recognizing whether each and every one of us adequately represents the principles for which America stands.

Strong leadership is critical for preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution of the United States of America. There are requirements: With commonsense, we must understand the measure of our example—obvious by the degree of adherence to our pledge of allegiance.

This “land of opportunity” contains the greatest opportunity—respect for the dignity of every person on Earth—because of the melting pot. Every human being is equal in dignity and our conviction is the example by which we honor our Constitution.

The election system we have in this country is brilliant. However, pointing at the deficiencies of others—democracy at its worst—can prevent us from recognizing the beauty and the opportunity toward becoming more human, which democracy at its best can extend!

I will make mistakes and not say this or that the best way it could be said; but one day, this book can hopefully be considered so elementary. I’m not a teacher, just a very willing student. I don’t have anything new. All I have is what I’ve learned from others; and that which I’ve understood I’d like to share with you. I don’t want to be “the best” or “the most intelligent”. Selfishness is not the failure I’d like to achieve. I want to—as an old lady in sixty years—get up on my walker and join a five-minute standing ovation applauding YOU for passing me with your advanced level of understanding, work ethic, and zeal, as you grow in true selfless love toward happiness! It will make me so happy to see that I helped you recognize the awesome human being in your mirror. I want for you to maximize your goodness far better than the old lady behind the walker ever will have! I want to see your bravery break my records as you assist others to the finish line, whereupon they will gratefully break your records only to pass the baton for the next generation to do the same.

Once a human being understands the authentic freedom and happiness that total selflessness and mature generosity bring by way of lucid responsibility in every aspect within the human heart, mind, body, and soul’s conscience, no amount of food, booze, sex, drugs, cars, clothes, and jewels can result in the drunkenness that mere selfish indulgence seemed so cool—once upon a time!

That kind of life, liberty, and happiness is the incentive by which the bald, bold, and beautiful American eagle can once again gracefully flap her wings in perfect health as she soars over mountains looking for a drink of water from the many forest fountains in these gorgeous states where UNITED Americans live!
